Pilots
Zeeco designs and manufactures a full line of pilots with high-stability designs for the ignition process and boiler burners. Engineered to withstand high burner heat and extreme weather conditions, ZEECO pilots are available in manual or electric ignition, with and without flame rods, and in variable fuel ranges with a single tip.
ZIP Ballistic Pellet Ignition
The Zirconium Instant Pressurized (ZIP™) ballistic Ignition System utilizes a compressed nitrogen launching system to propel zirconium-filled pellets through a guide tube to the flare tip. Upon exiting the guide tube at a high velocity, the pellet impacts a striker plate, showering the flare tip exit with sparks and igniting the flare gas stream. Because Zeeco high-pressure pellets require a minimum impact velocity for ignition and have no internal explosive materials, they will not detonate if dropped during loading or fragment collecting – creating a safer alternative to low-pressure systems on the market. Pellets are regularly tested to ensure safety, reliability, and quality.
High Energy Ignition (HEI)
The Power Spark and Rapid Fire High Energy Ignition (HEI) systems are non-fouling, inextinguishable, high energy electric ignitors for all common oil and gaseous fuels. Essentially, each HEI system consists of a controlled capacitor discharge that produces a high temperature spark.
Handheld Ignitor (HHI) & Torch (HHT)
Zeeco’s electric Hand-Held Ignitor (HHI) delivers a spark to manually ignite burner pilots. The HHI can be manufactured to any length to meet specific requirements.
Our HHT hand-held torch operates on propane or MAPP gas and provides an instant on/off trigger for fuel savings and convenience. A built-in venturi generates a better, more consistent flame. The HHT is available in three standard sizes: 36", 48" and 66". Custom lengths also are available.
